Welcome to the New Jersey Counseling Association's Journals
We welcome you to our new journal website. For about a year, we have struggled to come out with a viable vehicle to promote the creative and scholarly talents of counselors in New Jersey. We finally decided that developing an online journal in a professional fashion would be appealing to counselors in New Jersey as well as others around the globe with just a few clicks away.
Even though, the format of the journal has been altered but the contents remain the same. It is our intention to continue to maintain the peer-review standard of the journal. Our goal is to have a new issue every Spring. In the future issues, we plan to add more features such as tape and book review, practice ideas etc…
We hope that our journal will educate, inspire and excite you. It is our desire that the ideas from this issue will contribute to your professional development. Most of all, we hope that you will be inspired to consider submitting your ideas in writing to be considered for publication.
The New Jersey Journal of Professional Counseling is accepting articles of interest to the counseling profession. The deadline is January 1, 2008. Please see "Guidelines for Authors" section.

New Jersey Journal of Professional Counseling
The Journal is primarily an online blind peer reviewed publication in APA style accepting articles of interest to the counseling profession. Limited print copies of the Journal will be produced in order that authors receive 2 copies and some additional copies be available for special circumstances. Articles include theory, practice, research, and graduate student submissions. The current editorial board has been re-comprised to reflect individuals whose primary training and/or identity is the counseling profession.
Currently, a spring 2008 edition is planned with a goal of producing one regular and special edition each year. The website contains the editorial policy adapted from the American Counseling Association’s journal policy.
Inquires and submissions should be directed to the editor at the email address below. The current deadline (December 1, 2007) has been extended to January 1, 2008, due to a delay in getting information to the membership.
